Hanuman   Birth | Childhood | Education | Be Like Hanuman | Significance | What We Learn?

Be like Hanuman

Hanuman is usually depicted with a bright red face. His body is coloured golden yellow.  His tail was long and strong. He is known since his birth for his immense strength (remember his journey to grab the sun as a child?)…and of course later his great leap and flight to Lanka. Perhaps he was the first jumbo airplane….?

Hanuman was selfless and did not take pride in his powers. He remembered them only when someone told him about it. He was kind and benevolent, humble and devoted. He vowed to remain unmarried throughout his life and looked upon all women as motherly figures. He was mischievous in his childhood, but that trait disappeared after his education. He was an ardent devotee of Lord Rama and was ready to do even the most difficult task to keep his Lord happy.

Being the son of the Wind God, he could fly through the sky. He was the eleventh avatar of Shiva and was blessed with boons from all the Gods. This granted him immortality, many powers and strengths.
